What Are State Waiver Programs?

State Waiver Programs (often part of Georgia’s Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waivers) allow adults who are elderly, disabled, or medically vulnerable to access essential non-medical and supportive services in their homes or communities. These programs waive certain Medicaid rules so that care can be delivered outside institutional settings such as nursing homes.

Community Care Services Program (CCSP)
